Welcome to the new CTSPD site, we are actively working to make CTS Pd available to you anytime, anyplace and at your own pace.

We now have over 800 members and have logged over 1200 hours of online professional develoment for teachers accross the province.  Come back often to the site as it is updated daily with new information on the CTS program.  Go to our Blog/News area to catch up on what is happing in the province.  You can leave a question in our chat area, or find an answer on our subject specific pages.  You can add to every page in the site, leave a great url, find a vendor to buy your equipment from, reccommend a vendor, or even leave project ideas.  See the Computer Science site for one of the most comprehensive set of project links for a CTS occupational area, those teachers sure can share. 

Join a forum, watch for site updates via your email, leave a suggestion on how to improve the site, we are a work in progress and want your input both about the sight and on your experiences in CTS.  Know a great resource, text, dvd, url or teaching method....leave it here, help support CTS accross the province.

We give permisssion to access this site for any and all CTS presentations you may have in your district.  Help spread the word and invite your collegues to check out their CTS area. 

If you are a new member simply use the top menu to navigate to an area you want to see, for example under the BIT cluster, go to Info Processing and click in to the site.  You will then be directed to make up a user name and create a password, its free and that easy.  Your information is confidential and will not be shared.

 

BIT

The Business, Administration, Finance and Information Technology Strand (BIT)

The BIT cluster of courses is scheduled for implementation in September 2009. The focus of the BIT cluster is for students to develop and apply important knowledge, skills and attitudes so they can implement efficient systems and strategies of management and marketing and use electronic technologies to collect, structure, manipulate, retrieve and communicate information within individual, family, workplace, community and global contexts.

TMT

Trades, Manufacturing & Transportation (TMT)

The TMT Cluster courses are scheduled for implementation in September 2009. The focus of the TMT cluster is for students to develop and apply important knowledge, skills and attitudes relative to the manufacture and assembly of products from individual components and the processing of raw materials into products.

HRH

Health, Recreation & Human Services (HRH)

The HRH Cluster of courses is scheduled for implementation in September 2010. The focus of the HRH cluster is for students to develop and apply important knowledge, skills and attitudes so they can provide care and services for individuals and groups in a variety of industries, such as health care, recreation, cosmetology, the food industry and the legal system.

MDC

Media, Design & Communication Arts (MDC)

The MDC cluster of courses is scheduled for implementation in September 2010. The focus of the MDC cluster is for students to develop and apply important knowledge, skills and attitudes so they can provide well designed and aesthetically effective communication solutions.

NAT

Natural Resources (NAT)

The NAT cluster of courses is scheduled for implementation in September 2010. The focus of the NAT cluster is for students to develop and apply the knowledge, skills and attitudes to work individually and collectively, as private citizens and as members of the work force, toward the conservation and responsible use of energy and natural resources.
