The CTS PD homepage is designed to allow you to access almost all of our content with a single mouse click. Different sections of the home page are designated for different purposes, allowing visitors to quickly identify the area of the page that you need.

The image above shows the home page as it looks when you first enter the site. In the top right hand corner is the search box, which will allow you to search for key words that may be contained in the CTS PD website. The search box does not index the pages in the Moodle learning website, however.

Below the search box is the main menu bar. This allows you to navigate to the most important areas of the CTS PD website, and also allows you to go to the general Moodle site page, or specific areas within the Moodle site dedicated to the cluster you are interested in. In order to access the Moodle site, you'll need a user name and password. If you already have a user name and password for the Alberta Education CTS Blog site, it will be migrated to this site very soon. If you don't have an existing account, click on 'Contact Us' and use the form to request an account from Joe or Jamie.

Below the site title, you will see six little boxes containing letters and colours. These enable you to customise the look of the site to your own tastes - increase or decrease font size and change the colours of the site.

Below the customization buttons are two menus labelled Devblog and Media. The Devblog menu contains a list of articles written by the project team, highlighting changes and updates to the site, and letting you know what we plan to do with the site so that you can influence the development of this resource. The Media menu contains links to various resources published by the Government of Alberta to highlight changes to the CTS curriculum.

To the right of the Media menu is our latest news section - this highlights important information about the CTS initiative and website in a rolling fashion so that you don't have to seek out dedicated news pages on the site.

In the bottom left corner of the screen, you can see the tabbed information section. We have used this to explain what each of the CTS cluster codes means, and it also provides some information relating to the implementation and aims of each cluster.

And finally, in the bottom right corner of the screen is the main welcome page. This changes fairly regularly and is used to welcome you to the website and provide you with more detailed information that we cannot fit into the rolling news area of the site.
